1Then | These brothers are crossing Jodenbreestraat on their way to school. There was so little motor traffic at that time that children were safe in the streets without adult supervision. Today there is heavy traffic in Mr. Visserplein, the large, open square next to you, but the entire area was once filled with streets and houses.
