Elias Hutter, Hamburg 1587

This Hebrew Bible edition has a remarkable didactical background. To make the Bible easier for Hebrew and Bible students to read, Hutter varied the typography: solid black letters denote the root of a word (radicals) and outline letters the prefixes and suffixes. Magnificently bound in the style of Amsterdam's master bookbinder Albertus Magnus.
