cooperation with the Jewish Historical Museum and the Hollandsche
Schouwburg, the Portuguese Synagogue has developed a wide range of
activities for families, children, young people, adults and, of
course, schools. The educational department tries to make the
museum's presentation and services accessible, focusing and
providing space for visitors of all ages. We offer tailored
programmes for young and old.
Educational activities encourage people - young and old - to look
more closely, ask questions, start discussions and think about
artistic, cultural and social themes. The activities make
the history of Jewish culture accessible and invite visitors to
share ideas and make a connection between history and the
present.
