The City Archives is Amsterdam's historical documentation centre. It is a historical and topographical archive 35 kilometres long that includes millions of maps, drawings, prints, books and a considerable collection of audio, photographic and film material.
They maintain the archives of the city authority, as well
as those of private organisations and companies that have a
connection with Amsterdam, including the archive of the Portuguese-Jewish Congregation.
The City Archives is open to the public.
