After major restoration, all the areas of the Portuguese Synagogue, including the treasure chambers, are now open to the public again for the first time. The completion of the buildiPortuguese Synagogueng work will be celebrated on 24 March. Admission is free on this day.

Santo Servicio, the Portuguese Synagogue choir, will perform, and a film will be shown about the Portuguese Jewish community and its customs. Frequent tours of Ets Haim Library and the Jewish Cultural Quarter will also be offered.

What activities are planned?

Choir performances: 14:00 and 15:00
Library tour: 11:00 - 15:00, once an hour, max. 15 participants, sign up at the synagogue on Sunday
Walking tour of the Jewish Cultural Quarter: once an hour, 11:00-15:00, max. 15 participants, sign up at the synagogue on Sunday
Film about the Portuguese Jewish community: continuous screening, 10:00-16:00
Guides: present from 10.00-16:00 in the Portuguese Synagogue and treasure chambers

The heritage day at the Portuguese Synagogue is also part of 24H Oost.
