After major restoration, all the areas of the Portuguese
Synagogue, including the treasure chambers, are now open to the
public again for the first time. The completion of the buildi
ng work will be celebrated on 24 March.
Admission is free on this day.
Santo Servicio, the Portuguese Synagogue choir, will perform, and a film will be shown about the Portuguese Jewish community and its customs. Frequent tours of Ets Haim Library and the Jewish Cultural Quarter will also be offered.
