Winter Plantage  Sunday 22 January 2012 14.30

Discover the treasure chambers

The beautiful, colossal Portuguese Synagogue is a 17th century monument that is still intact and has no electricity and central heating. We recommend you to bring warm clothes! During the guided tour in the recently opened treasure chambres, you will be able to view the unique collections of ceremonial objects of silver, gold, brocade and silk. Afterwards, you can eat a fine bowl of soup in the JHM Museum Café, opposite the Portuguese Synagogue.

Duration: 1 hour, start on the courtyard of the Portuguese Synagogue.
Admission: free, by showing your ticket for the Jewish Cultural Quarter.
Reservations: E events.
Group: maximum of 15 people per guided tour.

On 22 January 2012 the Winter Plantage takes place: A collaborative programme by 17 cultural institutions in the centre-east Plantage neighbourhood. Discover the Plantage, an oasis in Amsterdam's inner city!
