The children's museum of the Jewish Historical
Museum has been nominated for the Children's Museum Award 2012. The
Jury of the 2012 Children's Museum Award announced the 13
short-listed museums in Amsterdam on 21 February.
The name of the winner of the 2012 Award will be announced on
Wednesday 21 March 2012 in co-operation with the International
Children's Book Fair in Bologna, and with the support of the
Carisbo Bank Foundation - Genus Bononiae. The winner will
receive the Award from HRH Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg.
The Children's Museum Award has been established by the
European Museum Academy and Hands On!
International for the recognition of excellence in the
specific sector of international children's museums. The Jury is
looking especially for the creative use of exhibitions and
programmes with an innovative interpretative approach, which should
be meaningful to the relevant age-group up to 14 years old.
