The Jewish Historical Museum is honoured and delighted
to announce that it has been nominated for the BankGiro Lottery
Museum Prize 2013. The BankGiro Lottery announced the nominees
today. Over the next four weeks, anyone who wishes can cast a vote
on the Museum Prize website.
This year, the BankGiro Lottery Museum Prize will go to the museum
best able to forge a bond with a particular group or community. The
panel of expert judges has selected four museums from the 43
applicants. At www.museumprijs.nl/joodshistorischmuseum,
anyone eighteen years of age or older can cast a vote for the
Jewish Historical Museum, any time between now and Monday 1
April.
The Jewish Historical Museum was nominated by the panel of
judges for the BankGiro Lottery Museum Prize in part because of its
successful launch of the Jewish Monument Community, an interactive
website where visitors can look up lost relatives, get involved in
discussions, and contribute information and objects to the museum
collection.
Everyone who casts a vote for the Museum Prize 2013 will have a
chance of winning an iPad mini or a three-day city trip to
Istanbul, organized by Corendon Vliegvakanties.
